Public Health Summit Series: Cancer

Other

2186 N. Sherman Dr.,Indianapolis IN 46218

24 February, 2023

Description

The quarterly summits are designed to explore relevant social determinants of health for the Black community, raise awareness and also provide a connection to resources for those who live with these ailments or provide support. We invite the community to join us in our second summit session, which will engage in the broad scope of literacy, education, and further advocacy on lung, breast, and colorectal cancer, as these forms of cancer disproportionately affect the African American community. Within the individual summit experiences, attendees will gain insight from healthcare professionals and support organizations, learn what support looks like, and hear from a panel of those with lived experiences. This event is FREE to attendees, with a light breakfast and catered lunch served as well! Please join us on Friday, February 24th, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
