Welcome to Parent Next Door: Parent Next Door is a 501(c)(3) located in Asheville, North Carolina, providing single-family housing in a communal setting for beneficiaries of the Asheville Housing Choice Voucher Program. Our mothers participate in monthly meetings, a babysitting cooperative, and receive financial training geared toward home ownership. Support Parent Next Door: Since our inception, we are hosting our first fundraising event and we are honored to introduce ourselves and share with you the beauty of what we have experienced and accomplished over the last two years. Parent Next Door is providing much needed housing to single parents and their children within a safe environment, coupled with community cohesion and connecting parents to resources - they are sure to succeed! Our participants are parents who were unhoused, dealing with substance abuse, mental health disorders, and intimate partner violence. Many of our participants come from women shelters through their rapid rehousing programs. Parent Next Door is inundated with calls asking if we have any available housing. It is time to grow! Help Us Grow! We are land owners in West Asheville and have the opportunity to build 12 new homes plus a community center for single parents and their children.
