In keeping with its claim to provide “A Different World, Close to Home” for Metro Atlanta residents and visitors, Lanier Islands has raised the curtain on a year-round amenity that adds a NEW something different to the lakeside resort’s growing list of offerings. The all-new Game Changer is NOW OPEN in a sprawling two-story facility of approximately 23K square feet. This fun-filled, family-friendly destination features an enormous entertainment floor overflowing with over 60 popular amusement games, a dedicated kids’ arcade space, virtual sports suites, axe throwing lanes, an escape room, and a 9-hole challenge putting course. To further enhance the experience, Game Changer also presents an exciting new eatery showcasing two full bars and a crowd-pleasing menu. “As has been the case for the last 17 years, we’re always exploring new ways to enrich our guest experience – whether staying with us overnight or here for a handful of hours,” said Virgil Williams, Chairman of the Board for Lanier Islands. “We’ve been particularly interested in creating a year-round destination that would keep our resort guests and local visitors entertained during their time on the Islands. In addition to being an excellent four-season destination for couples and families, Game Changer is designed to be a great team-building venue for groups – particularly the virtual sports suites and escape room. Sport suites accommodate up to eight guests per bay, or groups can elect to reserve multiple bays for larger parties. The escape room is ideal for six guests at a time.
