The Learning Paradigm along with the DeSoto Parks and Recreation Department and DeSoto ISD Special Education Department will host its inaugural conference on Saturday, April 8, 2023. During this one-day event, we will bring together parents/caregivers, educators, healthcare professionals, and community/local non-profit leaders. The conference theme “The Ultimate Parent Teacher Conference” will provide parents with a plethora of knowledge, resources, and support for children with different abilities from the perspective of school educators and healthcare professionals. TLP believes the success of all youth is essential to growth and equity within Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW). Our goal is to facilitate partnerships between families of children with special needs in the Southern Dallas and DeSoto Community, local schools, and healthcare professionals to create sustainable relationships that raise awareness about resources and programs available to our communities! REGISTRATION FEE: FREE for the first 10 Parents that Register$15 for College Students$20 for DeSoto Residents (Parents)$25 for General Registration (Parents)$35 for Healthcare and EducatorsRegistration includes admission to the conference activities, lunch, and a swag bag!` There is also an opportunity to nominate a Special Education Teacher who will be awarded a stipend and will also receive recognition at the conference. *Proceeds from this conference will also support summer programming for children and teens with different abilities.
