At Family & Children's Service, we believe in a holistic and multi-faceted approach to mental health care. Movement and meditative practices can be an essential part of mental wellness.
Come and join this free yoga class led by Andy Rowan to experience how yoga can be a tool to help support your mental health and wellness. As a self-care practice yoga can improve physical health increasing flexibility and circulation. Yoga can also promote greater self-awareness and emotional regulation in support of our mental and emotional states.
Andy received her yoga teacher certification in 2021 and has been practicing yoga for many years. Her primary training is in Vinyasa Yoga with an emphasis on physical safety and the unique abilities of the individual. In addition, she has studied teaching yoga as a supporting tool for addiction recovery(Y12SR) and trauma healing(TCTSY). Her desire is to offer yoga with gentle guidance in a safe classroom space to honor where our bodies are at in the moment and as a means for personal growth.
This community workshop is co-sponsored by the Swieringa Family Fund with support from Visions Federal Credit Union.
