Join The Beyond120 program for a talk with guest speaker and UF alumnus, John Mason on February 28th at 10:40-11:30 a.m. in 2000 Farrior Hall. Dr. Mason has more than 38 years of international leadership experience across diverse settings and spent more than 15 years living and working in Latin America. He will share his experiences and knowledge gained from working abroad, as well as invaluable tips for safety abroad from the perspective of an experienced security and emergency management professional. Among his vast professional experience, John has worked as Americas Region Resilience Manager for Microsoft Inc., Director of the Personnel Recovery Center Ecuador, and has served as a security consultant, business owner, and Director of Security for a K-12 international school. He is an expert in creating and implementing new programs and is well-versed in both educational and business environments. John received a BA in Biology from Wake Forest University, an MA in Latin American Studies with a Concentration in Political Science from the University of Florida, a Graduate Certificate in Homeland Security and Defense form Pennsylvania State University and, a Doctor of Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University.
