Join Canalway at The Cleveland Museum of Art Community Arts Center for a hands-on upcycled jar lantern-making workshop.
Cleveland artist, Debbie Apple-Presser will demonstrate a few ways to transform your recycled jar into a beautiful lantern for the Towpath Trail Lantern Parade.
BRING - a recycled large glass -or- plastic jar with lid (Example: Pasta sauce, mayonnaise, mason jar, or large salsa jar.) PROVIDED - All crafting materials to assemble and decorate your jar lantern + a battery-powered tea light to illuminate your lantern Arrive anytime between 11 AM and 2 PM to see a demonstration and work on your own lantern. Seating and materials are available on a first come, first served basis. Pre-registration is recommended but not required.
Demonstration Times: 11 AM | 12 PM | 1 PM | 2 PM
This workshop is recommended for ages 6+ but families are welcome to attend together. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Parking: The Community Arts Center is housed within the PIVOT building. A free parking lot is accessible from Castle Ave, along with free street parking.
