Community Health Conversation: Individuals with Substance Use Disorders

Individuals living with substance use disorders often struggle to access the services or appropriate level of care needed. The COVID-19 pandemic has escalated the demand for services but restricted opportunities to meet those needs, also exacerbating health disparities. In this CHC we will identify specific prevalent regional barriers, existing resources, and prioritize future state with engaged stakeholders. Each participant will have equal opportunity to share their direct experience and/or work with individuals with substance use disorders to inform future priorities and access existing resources. Community partners attending are encouraged to bring materials related to their work with individuals living with substance use disorders to offer direct assistance and share during networking opportunities. Community partners are encouraged to invite individuals with living with substance use disorders, caregivers, and professionals that serve this population. Community partners are encouraged to share this opportunity with other organizations and colleagues.
