Tween Scene: Shining a Light Book Party Tuesday, March 28 | 4 PM | Sorenson Legacy Room Bruce Lee did karate. Kristi Yamaguchi skated. Dwayne Johnson wrestled and got the nickname "The Rock." Get to know more famous Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders with fun activities, games, and a chat with Veeda Bybee, author of a brand new book for grades 3–7 entitled Shining a Light: Celebrating 40 Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders Who Changed the World. Registration required. For ages 8–12. Parents, stay after this event for a "Meet the Author" event at 5:15 PM in Library Hall. Listen to a conversation between Veeda and Utah author Yamile Saied Méndez, followed by a reading from the book and a book signing. Copies of Shining a Light will be available for purchase.
