Did you decide that working for someone was no longer part of your story, and make the bold decision to go out and open your own cleaning company, becoming an entrepreneur and your own boss over night? That was my story, as I embraced a new role, I knew nothing about in hopes that i would just figure it out. For 7 years I just figured it out as I went. I bit off more than I could chew more times than I can count and sat by myself crying wondering " What are you doing here Jean Marie?" ever more often. There were countless times I wish I had others to bounce things off of, who understood exactly what I was feeling and encountering. I sought a community I couldn't find locally, so I opted to go out and create it myself. The sole purpose of Let's Talk Dirty is for other business owners in similar positions could come together to meet, to brainstorm, to collaborate. There is more work than any one company could handle, so the idea of seeing one another as competition needs to be shattered, so we can all strengthen and empower another to achieve individual and collective greatness, one dirty toilet at a time. My message to you is that, no matter what stage in business you are in, know that it's OK not to have it all figured out. There are so many people and resources available for us to tap into who want to help us reach our goals. Don't ever feel like you're alone or that it can't be done because I'm living proof that it can. So if you are ready to take the plunge, then let me be the first to say, CONGRATULATIONS! You are taking a leap and embracing a challenge that many never do. Now buckle up and brace yourself for an incredible journey ahead of you where there is no ceiling and sky's the limit.
