Description

Pelvic Health is an important component of health that is not always talked about. Do you leak when you run, jump, or cough? Let’s discuss how these symptoms are not normal nor should they be normalized! We will discuss urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and diastasis recti to name a few. Meet at Runner's Alley ahead of time if you want to jog (3 miles) or walk (2 miles) to Performance Health, and get to know some of the other participants. We'll be taking off at 8:20am and the presentation will start at 9am. Dr. Sarah Coulombe received her Applied Exercise Science Degree from the University of New England in 2010. In May 2013, she graduated from UMass Lowell with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree. DPT Coulombe has taken on deeper studies including Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES), Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Level 1, and Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Level 2b to be uniquely prepared to help women on their journey to pelvic health. Sarah’s interest areas lay in general orthopedics, neurological rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, Selective Functional Movement Assessment™ (SFMA), Graston Technique®, Postural Restoration®, Functional Range Release™, and Functional Dry Needling® (FDN). Outside of the clinic, Sarah enjoys working out, martial arts, and spending time with family and friends.Pictures: Attached
