REALTORS® around the country are making a national call to support Black Americans in homeownership and educate the general public on the economic impact of black homeownership in America in what has been declared Black Homeownership Awareness Week, February 18-February 25, 2023. This event will highlight the past, present and future impact of black home ownership in America and to encourage everyone to take action towards homeownership. This major collaboration between lenders, real estate brokerages, NAREB members , home inspectors, attorneys, and credit repair specialist is intended to help level the playing field for Black Americans who have faced systemic barriers to homeownership and access to resources that will economically empower people in black households.
