Description

This tour will focus on the lives of the musicians who served at the fort; including the first regimental bands of the 1840, the Infantry Band stationed at Fort Adams during the Civil War, and the Coastal Artillery Corps Bands of the early 20th century. There will be two one-hour tours, at 10:00am and at 12:00pm. Each tour is limited to 20 guests. This tour is free and open to the public! If you would like to make a donation, you can make one at: Historic Music of Newport (Please note that this donation is for the tour!) All money from ticket sales will be split evenly between the Fort Adams Trust and Historic Music of Newport. Both organizations are 501(c)(3) nonprofits.
