Underwater Water Florida by Xavier Cortada Pinecrest Gardens artist-in-residence Xavier Cortada traveled to 56 coastal city halls in Florida, whose boundaries are defined by water, and placed a sign at each one that marked their respective elevations. By going to the exact locations where city officials make decisions regarding zoning and building permits, Cortada made a statement about the threat sea level rise poses to the tax base of each of the cities. Exhibition is on view through June 2023. Reflections from The Shadows by Annette Bonnier Life during lockdown was a time of quiet introspection. A time to reflect. A time for solitude. Lightyears away from the bustling crowds, living life at a slower pace where it seemed normal to stroll and meander through the long days. Isolation was the new normal, a new normal that prompted gifted photographer Annette Bonnier to look at the world with multi-layered eyes through her camera lens.
