Denver West High School Presents Legacy Of The PhoenixLegacy Of The Phoenix is a event that is three years in the making. From what was originally called "Florence Crittenton Fundraiser" to a rebirth and coming to what we now know as Legacy Of The Phoenix. The Florence Crittenton Fundraiser was cut short due to the pandemic and was postponed until 2023... We hope to make a change one phoenix at a time and give back to a home for many...a home for teen mothers & their children and that home is Florence Crittenton High School. The Florence Crittenton Campus is a truly unique and amazing center of multi-generational support for teen families. It is a place where young moms can transform their lives—not only for themselves, but for their children and family members. The Florence Crittenton Campus is supported by an on-site non-profit organization, Florence Crittenton Services, that raises $3 million every year in private funding to help these young families. Denver Public Schools provides the high school education; Florence Crittenton Services provides all of the amazing child care and wraparound support. West High Schools very own Nico Gomez-Lucero is Florence alumni and now a senior in high school and currently takes action in his community with Student Voice & Leadership, West Endowment and more. His mom Tanisha Gomez is a Florence alumni Class of 2007 and is now a Store Manager for Ace Hardware. Tanisha & Nico attended Florence together shortly after Tanisha had Nico. While Tanisha worked hard as a student Nico was taken care of in the ECE Center while his mom worked to collect the credits she needed to graduate. Within that time Tanisha was able to collect her credits fast enough to graduate early in 2007. Tanisha & Nico worked hard to get to were they are today with a story that changes the perspective on teen parents and sheds light on the dark. Now Tanisha and Nico are ready to give back to the community that they called home for so long. Please join us on for a night to give back to a place that many call home. With a Fundraiser, Food & Beverages, and a Ceremony with the opportunity to hear from , Teen Mom Alum's Of Florence and Admin from Denver West and FloCrit. All proceeds collected from Legacy Of The Phoenix will 100% go back to Florence Crittenton High School!!
