Our next Representation Happy Hour series is on Thursday, March 16th at 6 pm at Kehrein's Art Center in the Austin neighborhood of Chicago, and you’re invited! Special bar provided by Pour Souls Chicago and small bites provided by Chef Veah at Two Sisters Catering! BBBSChi is hosting ongoing mentor recruitment events to promote diversity amongst our Bigs and provide a space for Bigs from historically marginalized communities to connect and network with each other. We provide appetizers and drinks while you share your mentoring experience with potential future Bigs! This initiative is extremely important to our agency, and we hope you will take part to help us increase representation in our mentoring programs while having a great time. Our waitlist Littles are asking to be matched with Bigs who share their identity, including Bigs of Color and LGBTQ-identifying Bigs. All are welcome! If you are a Big who does not identify as BIPOC, AAPI, or LGBTQ, then your admission will be bringing someone along who does. When you register you’ll be asked to provide the name of the potential future Big or Bigs who will be accompanying you, so if you know someone who would make a great Big, this is the perfect opportunity to bring them to an agency event and expose them to the mission!
