We are excited to announce our first community event, Oysters Under the Oaks, presented by the Friends of Plymouth Park and the James Island Baptist Church! This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, March 11th from 3pm-5pm under the picturesque oak trees at the James Island Baptist Church, located in Riverland Terrace. Gather with friends and neighbors to enjoy fresh, local oysters and hotdogs to support our beloved Plymouth Park!
Tickets are limited and go on sale this Friday, February 17, so make sure to get yours before they are gone! Tickets are $35 for adults ($40 day of event) and $5 for kids 12 and under. Tickets are non-refundable. Please bring your own shucker and glove (there will be a limited supply available to borrow if you do not have your own).
All proceeds will benefit the Friends of Plymouth Park, a fundraising initiative through the Charleston Parks Conservancy to renovate and beautify Plymouth Park in the historic oak-lined neighborhood of Riverland Terrace. We will have food, games, raffle prizes and music for everyone! Non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase, so please bring cash.
We would like to give a special thanks to our sponsors for this event: Priscilla Shumway and Jack Hurley of Dunes Properties, Bliss Babysitters, John's Island Tool & Party Rental, and the Cochrane-Logan Family.
