The Wesley Community Service Center (WCSC), founded by Methodist Women, was established in 1937 in Portsmouth, Virginia to address community needs and social issues. Now in our eighty-sixth year of service and ministry, we operate programs and services to empower and improve the lives of the poor and powerless in Portsmouth’s Southside communities. We provide critical programming to fulfill the unmet needs of over 10,000 low-income individuals and families residing in Southeast Virginia each year.
