Do you want find more ways to center your self-care? Are you wanting to increase your cultural awareness? Do you need CEU's? Or maybe you just like South Louisiana Brunches? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then our annual Brunch on the Bayou is the networking event for you! Guest speakers will be providing and addressing vital information on “Diagnosing Down the Bayou: Cultural Considerations for Mental Health Diagnoses in Rural Areas” The presentation will highlight; Cultural considerations in rural areas. Identifying the impact that environment has on client symptoms. Identify common diagnoses in rural areas.Assessment questions should be asked to these clients when diagnosingHow clinicians should navigate care coordination.“Clinicians Are Human, Too: Ethical Considerations for Centering Self-Care and Destigmatizing Clinicians Need for Help” The audience will be able to learn the importance of centering self-care and how the lack of doing so can result in ethical concerns. The presentation will further define self-care and provide examples of ways in which self-care improves clinician distress. (2 CEU hours of Ethics & Diagnosis) Please come out & learn, share, network, and create professional relationships and referral resources while brunching! .
