Description

"In some native languages the term for plants translates to 'those who take care of us'" - Robin Wall Kimmerer. Herb walks are accessible to beginner herbalists, botanists & just about anyone interested in reconnecting with the land. Our mission is to bridge the gap between those who like to spend time outdoors and want to learn about the fauna & flora that inhabit Tongva Land aka Los Angeles and how to become a better land steward. We will be discussing SoCal native flora & fauna. This walk will be led by Rose Fairley an herbalist and native plant enthusiast alongside Andrea Jimenez a certified naturalist and herbalist. Find more about them on instagram at @__plantfriends__ & @herbclub_la All levels of knowledge, ages and species welcome! (Feel free to bring your toddler, dog, cat, etc). We recommend you bring a notebook, pen, camera and a light snack. Dress comfortably. Herb walks are light walks in nature --nothing strenuous.
