Description

Living with Intention: A Journey of Transformation and Truth When we think of growth, our minds tend to gravitate toward forward momentum - evolving, advancing, progressing, and expanding as we work to transform ourselves and our lives. That is society’s collective recipe for success - moving upward and outward. But what about traveling inward? Going backwards? Releasing and dispersing? Deconstruction can be just as crucial to transformation as development is. Sometimes, we must devolve in order to evolve. Declutter our hearts and minds as well as our houses. Work todeprogram from the people, places, and things that keep us stuck and stagnant. Unbecome everything that keeps us from living life as our truest selves, without worry or apology. Be a snake that sheds old skins. We’re always in such a hurry to become the butterfly that we fail to recognize the significance of the transformation itself. The process matters as much as the end result. The transformative work you do, cocooned away inside your chrysalis, is yours and yours alone. We’re not meant to emerge through the same formula. Your metamorphosis might be drastically different than what you were told. I know mine was. I’m here to tell you there are no deadlines. This journey isn’t linear. Time is continuous. Unconventional methods exist. There is no right way, just your way. Your truth is your own toembrace, so is your transformation. BIO Stephanie resides in NEPA in a cabin made of stone with her husband, Italian Mastiff, two cats, and various wild friends of fur and feather. She’s a writer and forest wanderer on a mission to rewild the acreage of her backyard by descaling her lawn and planting native. Working to create a biodiverse habitat that contributes to conservation efforts on a local level, her wish is to build a home for humans and creatures of all kinds. Bugs, too. The wilder, the better. She is fondly referred to by her friends as the “woods witch”, a practicing pagan and animist who strives to build a rich and reciprocal connection to the natural world around her while embracing the wild as a guide, teacher, and extension of the wilder parts of herself. She harnesses the restorative and therapeutic power of nature and wholeheartedly believes that rewilding extends beyond the backyard - straight into the hearts of those wishing to return to their own natural state, wild and free in their untamed truth. It is there: in the forest, in the mountains, in the sea, in the desert, that we can discover a deep connection with ourselves - among the wild things.
