Britt’s Regional Wine and Dine Tasting tour 2023: Join us each and every month throughout 2023 as we go on a tasting tour of some of Britt’s most favorite wine regions across this great nation. Last year we explored 12 Global wine regions tasting the wines as well as some of their popular dishes. 2023 we will celebrate the long history of wine and wine making throughout these great United States. It wasn’t until the 1970s and 1980s that winemakers in California, Oregon, Washington, and New York began to focus on high-quality wine, helped in part by academic studies and newly available qualifications in viticulture. As education spread, so did the demand for better quality wines, and today, there are approximately 3,000 commercial vineyards in the country and at least one winery in every state. This month of March we head out to the Willamette Valley in Oregon which is best known for Pinot Noir. With a similar latitude to France’s Bordeaux, it’s no surprise that Willamette Valley is renowned for its Pinot Noir wines. However, there are also exceptional Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc wines available there. There are around 600 wineries in the area. Limited seating.
