Join us for The Community Action Poverty Simulation, our first 2023 STRONG Kids Workshop. Poverty is a reality for many individuals and families. But unless you’ve experienced poverty, it’s difficult to truly understand. The Poverty Simulation bridges that gap from misconception to understanding and is an interactive immersion experience. It sensitizes community participants to the realities of poverty.
Register in advance to save your spot, as capacity is limited. Participants must attend the entire workshop.
Participants will:
Deepen their understanding of the realities of povertyImprove practices and approaches to better engage low-income individuals and their families
Build partnerships with the broader community to improve outcomes for low-income families
Be inspired to become future Poverty Simulation leaders
This forum is co-presented by STRONG Kids- a partnership between Ballad Health Niswonger Children's Network, Speedway Children's Charities, and the STRONG Accountable Care Community- a collective impact collaboration committed to regional resilience by addressing health improvement, educational success, and economic vitality.
