Joseph Boone is currently a professor of English and gender studies at the University of Southern California and previously taught at Harvard University. Boone’s areas of expertise include the novel as genre, gender and queer studies, narrative theory, and modernism. He is the author of four books, including The Homoerotics of Orientalism. His articles have appeared in publications such as PMLA, Novel, Contemporary Literature, Modern Fiction Studies, and South Atlantic Quarterly.
