Morris, Past National President, was the originator of this nation-wide symposium which was initiated under her administration (1996 – 2000). We are honored to continue her thrust to empower youth in ourCommunities, through hands-on, interactive leadership activities centered on a relevant Annual theme. The Sigma Youth Symposium is typically held on the second Saturday of March by Alumnae Chapters (and supported by undergraduate chapters and affiliates) nationwide, as a unified effort to support our youth and address issues that affect teens today. _____________________________ Youth Symposium Objective: The Sigma Youth Symposium is designed to address issues and opportunities related to STEAM, Health/Wellness (Mental and Physical), Social Action/Justice, Education and Career Planning, Financial Literacy; and Culture (Social Media, etc.). Nationwide, Alumnae Chapters (supported by undergraduate chapters and affiliates) present a unified effort to support our youth in-person and/or virtually through impactful, educational, inspiring, and engaging programming for youth.
