The Arkansas APEX (PTAC) Accelerator and the Startup Junkie Foundation with the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce (Signature Tower, 303 N Main Street, Ste 301 on Third Floor, Harrison, AR 72601), present this free seminar “Introduction to Government Contracting.” Businesses can diversify their revenues and customer base by expanding into sales to the government via the bidding and contracting process. The Arkansas APEX Accelerator is part of a national United States network of APEX Accelerators working to help businesses compete successfully in the government marketplace, and its mission is to assist Arkansas businesses to succeed in obtaining government contracts. This presentation covers federal, state, and local procurement processes; how to register for the bidding process; business requirements; the role of certifications; sales and marketing strategies; and steps you can take now to begin positioning yourself for eventual success in the government marketplace. Cities, Counties, Universities and Colleges, States, and the Federal Government all contract with small businesses for services and every type of product or good.
