In celebration of our 10th anniversary season of EDTalks, we are thrilled to present this special event with five past EDTalks speakers for a conversation around our season theme “What’s Next? Where does education go from here?" Our speakers will reflect on their past EDTalks topics in light of the present day: What has or has not changed? What are they more or less concerned about? How has the pandemic or other recent events shifted the way(s) they see their topic? What do they think is in store for us? Our speakers and topics include: Dr. Keith Stanley Brooks: Critical Race Theory - Fact vs. FeelingJason Bucklin: Creating Gender Inclusive SchoolsDave Eisenmann: How to Raise Tech-Healthy KidsSalma Hussein: The Power of Strong Relationships for Student SuccessErin Walsh: It's Complicated: Students, Social Media and Mental Health You won't want to miss this event!  Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with complementary hearty appetizers and drinks available for purchase. Our program begins at 6 p.m. sharp with short clips of our speakers' past EDTalks (to provide context), an in-depth panel discussion and Q & A that allows opportunities for audience conversation with our presenters and deeper dives into the evening’s topics. Founded in 2002, EDTalks is a dynamic happy hour event that raises public awareness of critical topics and strengthens community engagement and advocacy with and on behalf of our young people. It also provides a platform for creative leaders to showcase innovative ideas, share successes in their work, gain insight and feedback from colleagues, connect with community audiences and identify growth opportunities.
