Black Warrior Riverkeeper is partnering with Sierra Club Alabama for an April Fools' Day cleanup and learning event! Charline Whyte, with Sierra Club, and Rosey White, with Black Warrior Riverkeeper, will give a short presentation about Plant Miller and the importance of keeping our watershed clean. Following the presentation, we will clean up along the Locust Fork. Lunch will be provided. Meeting Point: New Life Worship Center COG, 6605 W Jefferson Rd, West Jefferson, AL 35130 *From there, we will caravan to Plant Miller then to the cleanup location Cleanup Location: around Atwood Cemetery | 2500 Parsons Loop Rd, Mulga, AL 35118 Time: 9 am to 1 pm What we encourage volunteers to wear/bring: 1. Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty (preferably long pants) 2. Closed-toed shoes 3. Water 4. Sun protection (hats, sunglasses, sunscreen) What we will provide: 1. Garbage bags 2. Gloves & Litter Pickers 3. Lunch
