Description
Overview: As we wander up the middle section of Tuyshtak (Mt Diablo) exploring early wildflowers on the mountain visit the falls and hopefully see ladybugs along the way in a section that looks like middle earth. Toward the end of the loop learn about the powers of the communities of the scrub Jays and the lessons they teach me during life. What’s an Educational Stroll? nature is not fast it's slow and for a good reason. It takes time to craft what you love and enjoy when exploring the outdoors so why rush? These UNique hikes have many levels of hikes but with more of a focus on learning and slowing down as our guides take you through some of their top favorite parks and trails to explore and learn from their talks of insight and knowledge without judgment. We will take many stops along the way to take a breath and embrace what nature gives. Hike Pace: The saying “Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished” is attributed to Lao Tzu. Our strolls are in the same spirit. Stopping at times to take in something, moving at a more steady pace at other times. We walk at a leisurely pace so that we can slow down and take time to really see, hear, notice, interact, and learn about the place we are visiting. If the terrain has a particular challenge, we’ll note that in the “Conditions” section. Also, we look out for each other, so you can challenge yourself a bit and know help is available. On average, we cover about 1-1.5mph. You can assume cell service will usually be spotty. Please bring what you need to have a pleasant hike (water, layers of clothing, a hat, sunscreen, etc). Suggested donation of $15-$30. No one has turned away because of a lack of funds.
