All ages & trail maintenance skill levels are welcome! Where to Meet Ellis Street Trailhead: 5608 SE 145th Avenue, Portland, OR 97236 Scope of Work Join Portland Parks & Recreation staff and community volunteers in completing important trail work projects on Powell Butte. We will continue the turnpike trail work and hopefully get to some work on Douglas Fir trail. No experience necessary! Youth participants must be at least age 14, and all volunteers aged 14-17 must have a parent or guardian sign our youth waiver forms. Wear sturdy close-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeved shirts. Bring rain gear and/or sun gear, a hat, a filled water bottle, and snacks. Bring gloves if you have a pair and prefer to use your own. Instruction, tools and gloves otherwise provided. You will be walking up to 5 miles away from the meeting location and restrooms, so please be ready to hike. Be sure to arrive 5-10minutes early, to be sure you don't miss the group.
