Join us for a showcase of incredible talent at this Camillus House Young Leader (CHYL) signature event - with light bites and cocktails included in the ticket price! Presented in partnership with Amerant Bank, all proceeds from the event support our artists and the art therapy program at Camillus House. The goal of the art therapy program is to teach clients the therapeutic and positive effects of art. Classes are scheduled daily and expose clients to a variety of artistic techniques, mediums, projects and environments. Our instructor provides both guided lessons and open studio classes. Most importantly, these classes give clients a safe, supportive environment to learn new artistic skills, bolster self-esteem and experience stress reduction that benefits both their mental and physical health. The overarching goal of Camillus House is to reach and meet those experiencing homelessness in Miami-Dade County and lift them out of their circumstance by providing them love, compassionate hospitality and respect. The Camillus House Young Leaders (CHYL) is a group of young professionals that serve as advocates and ambassadors for Camillus House in the community by raising awareness and funds through various special events and volunteer activities.
