The Big Hope Awards is an annual awards ceremony recognizing the achievements of extraordinary local melanated pioneers and their dedicated efforts to embody the principles of (HOPE): Honor, Outreach, Philanthropy. and Equity.
Master of Ceremonies Dr. Rufus J. Faulk will present trophies to 6 individuals with a demonstrated history of serving community, promoting social prosperity, and the economic revitalization of historically marginalized Black communities, followed by an opportunity to share words with our community.
Join Big Hope Project and celebrate Black History Month with our local leaders; featuring Beacon of Hope Award recipient Shekia Scott, creator of the Massachusetts Social Equity Program - the first statewide Social Equity Program in the United States and current Cannabis Business Manager in the Mayor's Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion.
This event will take place Friday, February 24, 2023 from 6pm - 9pm at Black Market in Roxbury, MA.
