Cara Conrow, LCSW, will facilitate this session. Cara has over twelve (12) years working with children, adolescents, and adults with varying diagnoses, and specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. She is a member of the WNY Comprehensive Care Center for Eating Disorders (WNYCCCED) and is currently an outpatient satellite for eating disorder treatment in private practice, and provides consultation to other outpatient providers. This training will help treatment providers understand each eating disorder diagnosis, how to properly assess for symptoms, how to understand differences in levels of care, and the most up to date treatment approaches. Teaching providers about the topic of eating disorders is an important part of closing the gap in access to effective treatment by equipping providers with the necessary knowledge to properly assess, diagnose, and treat eating disorders. Learning Objectives: - Participants will be able to identify the different types of eating disorder diagnoses. - Participants will gain an understanding of the different levels of care in eating disorder treatment. - Participants will be able to identify five ways to impact eating disorder treatment in the outpatient setting. - Participants will be able to identify two assessment tools used in the assessment of eating disorders. This course is approved to provide continuing education hours for SW and LMHCs*. Tree of Hope Counseling, LCSW, PLLC, is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Social Work as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed social workers #SW-0322. *For LMHCs, Tree of Hope has partnered with 716CEU and this training has been approved for CEUs by the LMHC board.
