This month's event features Lawrence Bush, Mikhail Horowitz, and Sparrow. RSVPs are not required, but they are appreciated. (They help us keep in touch in case of changes, and let us know how many people to expect.) Fans are welcome to bring books from home to have signed, or to purchase books here. Refreshments and beverages are also available for purchase throughout the event. Please, no outside food or drink. About the authors and their books: Lawrence Bush is the editor emeritus of Jewish Currents magazine and the author of numerous fiction and non-fiction books, with pieces published in MAD magazine and the New York Times, among other publications. American Torah Toons 2, a collection of visual images that riff on all fifty-four portions of the Torah (the Old Testament), is described as "fantastic fun for anyone who enjoys contemplating the giant conundrums of human existence . . . all done with a lovely mix of wit and humility.". Mikhail Horowitz's books include Slapstick Gravitas, Big League Poets, and The Opus of Everything in Nothing Flat. His performance work is collected on a dozen CDs, including The Blues of the Birth. Ancient Baseball is an international collection of handmade collages proving that the game of baseball dates back to the Paleolithic Era. John Thorn, the Official Historian of Major League Baseball, calls it "gorgeous, erudite, laugh-out-loud funny.". Sparrow many books include How to Survive the Coming Collapse of Civilization (And Other Helpful Hints); The Princeton Diary, a novel; and Trump Verse, with poetry published in the New Yorker and the Sun, among other publications. Stories is a book-length collection of Sparrow's brilliantly funny and insightful minimalist writings on a wide range of topics.
