SDRVC/SDMBA Mountain Bike Ride: March 11, 2023Meeting Location: Sikes Adobe Farmhouse Parking Location: Sunset Staging Area Meet at 10 am Ride rolls at 10:15 am All rides return to farmhouse by 11:45 latest  General Event:Join San Dieguito River Valley Conservancy and San Diego Mountain Biking Association for their March 11th Mountain Biking trail ride! Sandwiches and Refreshments provided after the ride. **Space is limited to 18 riders - registration and signed waivers are required** Ride Details: Both mountain bike rides will leave the Sikes Farmhouse and head east into San Pasqual Valley. Class 1 and 2 ebikes are permitted on these routes. Beginner ride: 10-12 miles, 800 feet of elevation gain, easy pace, heading to bottom of Raptor Ridge. Intermediate ride: 13-16 miles, 1000 feet of elevation gain, moderate pace, east to top of Raptor Ridge, then head back along Highland Valley Trail, over pedestrian/bike bridge and then back to the Farmhouse. All participants must read and sign the SDMBA waiver: SDMBA Participant Waiver Inclement weather or unsafe conditions will cancel this event. Event participants will receive an email if there is a cancellation. WHAT TO BRING:-Helmet (mandatory) -Mountain Bike in good working order -Water/Snacks -Appropriate close-toed shoes -Anything you need for a safe and comfortable ride -An understanding that you are responsible for your own safety on the ride and that mountain biking is dangerous and accidents can result in injury or death. -Unaccompanied minors are not permitted. Minors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who must sign a waiver and be present for the entire ride. Parents or guardians must determine whether this event is suitable for their minor.
