Ride A FLOAT like a VIP in the 2023 Irish Channel Parade RIDE A FLOAT IN THE 2023 UPTOWN NEW ORLEANS IRISH CHANNEL PARADE!!! Refund Policy : No Refunds About this event : It’s time once again to have a blast riding in the Irish Channel Parade!! Just want to show up and party? This is the option for you! Put on your green gear and a smile but don’t worry about much else, because this is the VIP experience. Avoid the hassle of bringing your vehicle to the route and take a convenient shuttle bus with your whole float crew instead. It will pick up all the riders from 5710 Bancroft Dr at 11AM and drop you off at the float staging area. Start having a good time as soon as you arrive since your throws are simply waiting in your designated spot on the float. Feel free to walk around and mingle with other revelers on the street or in the nearby bars. Or just kick back with a cool beverage and ponder what a great decision you made while watching other riders struggle and sweat to load their own throws. The choice is yours! Then board the tractor-powered double-decker wooden behemoth and make memories you’ll be retelling with friends for years to come! This year the parade falls on Saturday, March 11th, 2023. Timeline: 11:00AM - Shuttle pickup time at 5710 Bancroft Dr., NOLA 70122 If you miss departure, you can meet us at the float before the parade starts. 12:00PM - Float load time near 801 Race St. The floats are not numbered but Burks in Skirts is typically 3rd from last. We’ll be out there to direct you. 1:00PM - Parade Starts at Magazine & Felicity Approx. 5:00-6:00PM - Parade Ends near Jackson & Annunciation. Riders are responsible for planning their own transportation after the event. VIP FLOAT PACKAGE INCLUDES: Music - Food - Soft Drinks - Water Shuttle bus transport one-way to float Throws Package: 3 cases of beads, plus an additional assortment of novelties. We haven’t listed them exactly because the details may vary a bit from rider to rider due to supply chain issues. The intent is to provide 3 cases 8/10/12mm Mix Metallic Green/Silver Beads, 2 dozen 48" 18mm Round Pearl White Beads, 36 plush toys, 1 dozen 7" Shamrock Frisbees, and 2 Green and White Spiral Foam Footballs OR a similar grouping of items based on availability. Bottom Deck riders only: will also receive 1 sack of cabbage. Parade rules prohibit cabbage from the top deck. Two ice chests will be provided for riders to store their own beverages. Riders must deliver any drinks to be included to 5710 Bancroft by Friday. ***No Alcohol Provided *** ***No Styrofoam Ice Chests or Glass Permitted on Float *** Cost per rider is $575 (excl. taxes & fees) REGISTRATION CLOSES: March 8th at midnight REFUND POLICY: Cancellation of parade by March 3rd - $225 (100% of ride portion)* Cancellation of parade between March (4th-9th) - $170 (75% of ride portion due to costs incurred)* Note: Throws become the responsibility of the rider upon delivery to the float. Music is weather-permitting since it requires electronics. *In the event of cancellation by March 9th before throws are delivered to the float, riders must retrieve their non-perishable throws by Mar 18th, or they will be forfeit.
