On Sunday March 12, 2023, The Vernon Lanes Underground will be transformed into an Academy Awards-themed red-carpet gala to benefit local non-profit Time Slip Theatre. This ticketed creative black- tie event will feature The Oscars 95th Awards Ceremony live telecast, a red carpet, light buffet, champagne toast, games, trivia, music, local celebrities, and entertainment from Time Slip Theatre. Doors open at 7:00 when drag diva May O'Nays will kick off the evening with running commentary on red carpet fashion! There will be a Best Dressed Award, a contest predicting the winners for six major categories, Oscar Night Bingo Card (will someone get slapped?), raffles and more! Between segments a DJ will be spinning great music and local entertainers will be circulating throughout, so there won't be a dull moment! Most seating is priced per table so grab some friends and get dressed up for a fantastic night out! Individual tickets are also available. We expect to sell out, so don't delay. Cash bar will be available. Costumes are encouraged, but not required. However, it's Oscar Night so come dressed to impress! This collaboration between The Vernon Lanes and Time Slip Theatre highlights the creative community in Butchertown. “We are looking forward to a fun-filled Oscar night open to everyone in our community,” says Bruce Jarrett, co-owner of Vernon Lanes. “We’ve planned an evening of ongoing entertainment where all are welcome to come have a great night out while also raising funds for our partners at Time Slip.”
