Our leaders are hiring for the following openings: TherapistsPositions Available : • Eating Disorders Unit - Full-Time and Per Diem, Day Shift Positions • Mental Health & Mental Health Out Patient - Per Diem, Day Shift Positions Responsibilities: rovide assessment, prevention/intervention, education, treatment and discharge services to adult psychiatric patients and their families. The clinician will also actively participate in Department specific and hospital wide activities to ensure regulatory compliance enhance program development and quality improvement. Additionally, the clinician will engage in community outreach, professional associations and marketing activities. Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited school or counseling degree from an accredited school. LAC, LPC or LCSW or LSW, NJ State licensure required. Two years of clinical experience or two years of similar experience. Excellent customer satisfaction skills. Ability to present well both verbally and in written form. Mental Health AssociatesPositions Available on following shifts: • Day Shift - Part-Time • Evening Shift - Per Diem, Part-Time & Full Time • Night Shift - Part-Time & Full Time Responsibilities: The Mental Health Associate position provides care to the patients and maintains a safe environment under the direct supervision of the registered nurse. All methods of practice shall conform to written hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a psychology or related field or 5 years of behavioral health experience is required. Previous Behavioral Health experience preferred. Minimum one-year experience, training or education in the field of treatment preferred. Maintains Basic Life Support with American Heart Association course completion status. Successful completion of all orientation programs. Must possess excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills. Previous experience as a nurse aide or home health aide preferred. Crisis WorkersPositions Available on following shifts: • Evening Shift - Full-Time Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities are to provide emergency psychiatric evaluations and dispositions to patients in crisis in the Emergency Screening Department of RWJ Somerset. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, nursing or related clinical field required; two years’ experience in a mental health setting, preferably in crisis intervention/emergency services. Social WorkersPositions Available on following shifts: • Mental Health Unit - Per Diem, Day Shift Responsibilities : Provides individual, family and group counseling to patients and their families. Completes psychosocial assessments and participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, community linkage and is primarily responsible for discharge planning with timely and accurate documentation of all patient care activities and/or advocacy. Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited school or counseling degree from an accredited school. LAC, LPC or LCSW or LSW, NJ State licensure required. Occupational TherapistsPositions Available on following shifts: • Eating Disorders Unit - Per Diem, Day Shift Responsibilities: clinical laboratory personnel, as members of the health care delivery team, are responsible for assuring reliable and accurate laboratory test results, which contribute to the diagnosis, treatment, prognosis, and prevention of physiological and pathological conditions in humans. Quality clinical laboratory testing is evidenced by: performing the correct test, on the right person, at the right time, producing accurate test results, with the best outcome, in the most cost-effective manner. Qualifications: NJ license required. Position is to provide services in an Acute Care Hospital in the inpatient units; applicant should have experience with neurologic patients, elective joint patients, cardiac patients and ICU patients. Registered NursesPositions Available : • Mental Health Unit - Part-Time, Day Shift & Full-Time and Part-Time, Night Shift • Emergency Screening - Part-Time, Night Shift Responsibilities: nsuring the delivery of safe and quality patient care. Perform, adapt and safely demonstrate procedures required by patients according to policies and procedures. Administers medications accurately and safely. Facilitates nursing education groups. Documents according to policies and procedures Performs, demonstrates and documents technical skills specific to the nursing unit. Qualifications: Active, valid NJ Registered Nurse license and ASN or Nursing diploma required. BSN preferred. If candidate possesses ASN or Nursing diploma, must agree to complete BSN within five years of hire date. BLS required. ACLS and PALS preferred. 1 year of psychiatric nursing experience required. 1 year of med-surge preferred. Adjunct Therapist :Positions Available : • Mental Health Unit - Full-Time, Day Shift • Eating Disorders Unit - Full-Time, Day Shift Responsibilities: Assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapeutic, educational and diversionary recreation services to restore, remediate and/or rehabilitate effects if illness and disability. Through the provision of therapy, programs, resources, and support staff work with patients to encourage the development of satisfying recreational interests and skills for participation in departmental recreational programs. Qualifications: M.S./M.A. in Creative Arts Therapies or Recreational Therapy required. License commensurate with the degree. Minimum 3 years of Creative Art Therapies (Ex: Art Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Music Therapy, Drama Therapy) experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. Acute setting and Behavioral Health experience preferred.
