This project called Capstone is a full-one year project that makes us select an issue about our interest and then try to create a project to try and resolve it. The broad idea was about Breast Cancer, but then we had to narrow it down to a question about our idea. The first question was “How does one go through beating breast cancer emotionally and physically?” but that still was a broad question, so my capstone teacher had me narrow it down more, now the question is “How can support groups benefit women facing emotional and physical struggle while battling breast cancer?” The reason I chose this topic is because my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer right after I was born, she took care of me when she went through her treatment, she told me what got her through her treatment was taking care of me and my cousins. What I noticed about women having Breast Cancer is some don’t have family with them through their treatment and after their recovery.
