Description

There are three important aspects of meditation: mindful attention, open awareness and loving kindness. By practicing these, we can let go of negative mental patterns and expand our heart and mind, bringing about joy, peace and inner freedom. Anam Thubten will teach and guide participants in developing these three aspects of meditation and share Buddhist wisdom on working with our thoughts and emotions. All registrants are asked to attend the full retreat. We are so happy to be hosting an in-person retreat again for the first time in 4 years. This retreat will take place primarily outside for purposes of health, safety and social distancing. We will provide shade and seating. Restrooms are indoors and masks are required when indoors. This is a non-residential retreat which lasts from 9-5 Saturday and Sunday. Catered vegetarian lunch will be provided both days. Participants should plan to attend the full session both days. You may travel home in-between Saturday and Sunday's sessions. If you are interested in spending the night at the retreat center there are a few rooms available, as well as unlimited tent camping sites. If you are reserving a cabin and have a roommate request, please email sangha coordinators so that we can help with those arrangements. [email protected] or [email protected] No one will be turned away for lack of funds; contact registration at [email protected] or [email protected] for financial aid requests. Refund Policy: There will be a $20 admin fee to process refunds up to one week prior to the event. Refunds are not available within one week of the retreat, other than at the discretion of the coordinator in order to protect contractual commitments made the venue re participant numbers. In general Dharmata offers refunds for emergency cancellations.
