It is the foundation of your life. But what exactly is it, and how does it really work? Attend our free seminar and find out.What is more important: being able to clearly communicate to somebody, or being able to listen? Actually, if you want to achieve success, have great relationships, be able to get what you want in life, you need to be expert in both talking and listening. Even if you, right now, consider you are shy or outgoing, soft spoken or a “loudmouth”, the fact is there are very few people who truly understand the basics of communication. It’s not taught in grade school. And many people don’t even understand that there is something there to learn. Yet your ability to succeed in life is totally dependent on how well you can communicate to others; how well you can get your ideas across to another person and be heard. The Church of Scientology of Los Angeles has been holding community events to create a safe space for families and other Angelos to hang out and have some fun. In doing so, we’ve been able to meet a lot of incredible people from virtually every culture and from all around the city. We asked YOU to find out what else we could do to help the community and the majority of people wanted to learn more about communication: A. How to be confident and comfortable when talking to others. B. How to communicate clearly and avoid misunderstandings. C. How to listen effectively and understand what another is saying. This weekend, everyone is welcome for an Open House at the Church of Scientology where we will hold a series of seminars on the subject of communication. The seminars are free and include video presentations. All you need is your phone and a mind ready to learn. 1. The seminar starts by first giving you tools you can use to study and understand any subject. 2. You will then learn the rock-bottom basics of communication. We will break down communicating to its fundamental components, so you can see how they fit together and how you can use these in talking with others. 3. You will then learn why you are sometimes misunderstood, why another feels you aren’t listening and why you will sometimes feel shy or withdrawn at the thought of talking to others. 4. The seminars end with one-on-one practical exercises for every attendee to improve his communication skills and leave the seminar more able to confront and talk to others. 5. You will also find out about the Success through Communication Course—a course broken down into 18 exercises, pinpointing the fundamental skills you will need to guide and control communication for social, business and other purposes. The Scientology Communication Skills Open House and seminar is being held from 1pm – 4pm on Sunday, 5 March 2023. The seminar is free and all are welcome. Refeshments served. Free parking at 4810 W.
