Nitrograss, both sonically unique and visually appealing in their performances, provides a carefree and exciting atmosphere of pure acoustic ear-fodder. The percussive banjo of two-time national champion Charles Wood lays the foundation for the band's unique style. Merging traditional Scruggs-style banjo with rhythmic motifs reminiscent of ZZ Top and the Allman Brothers, Charles' playing is also melodic in its sensibility, evoking strong inflections with pure, driving syncopation. Groovin' on The Green is FREE for general admission - donations are encouraged. To ensure that The Village Green can maintain the ability to provide free entertainment for the community, the purchase of tent spaces supports this cause. All 10x10 tent spaces are set up and broken down by The Village Green. Please do not bring your own tent - they are provided. Once tents are sold out, we cannot accommodate anymore.
