Who We Are: Your Hearing Health Matters is a non-profit organization serving the residents of Central Alabama. The purpose of this organization is to provide local residents with the education, knowledge and tools to make the best possible decisions regarding their hearing health. The organization was started to help residents understand the confusing landscape of hearing health, including hearing aids, hearing tests and other related services. Our Goals: 1) To educate our residents by offering continuing education on the benefits of hearing health, how to determine if you have hearing issues, what questions to ask your hearing health practitioner, and how to get the best possible care. 2) To partner with local hearing health professionals to collect gently used hearing aids that are no longer needed, clean & restore them to “as new” condition, and fit them "free-of-charge" for patients that are unable to pay for new hearing aids.
