Come learn about invasive species and how you can help lessen their impact on the environment.
What are invasive species?
An invasive species is generally considered to be any plant or animal that is not native to the environment in which it is found and is often said to cause negative impacts on that environment.
About this Nature Fun-Day: For this Nature Fun-Day, we will be participating in NISAW by learning about the invasive species found here in Central Florida and what you can do to help stop their spread. Booths will be set up all around the center with crafts, activities, and information that will help learners of all ages identify invasive plants and animals, learn how these species spread, how we can limit their impact, and more!
