Are you ready for the 2023 beekeeping season? We are excited to announce the first Southwest Michigan Beekeeping Expo this April to get you ready for your bees - whether you are a first year or in your tenth season. Pick up your apiary equipment and connect with the Southwest Michigan community of beekeepers to find what you need and maybe even learn something along the way. Vendors from Michigan and surrounding states will present their wares and run special deals during the day. This will be a day-long event with demonstrations and round table discussions with experienced beekeepers from the region every hour. No live bees will be present. Some demonstrations include: - Hive installation (nucs, packages) - Hive inspections - Reading your frames - Planting for bees - and more! We have many vendors signed up and more are joining weekly. We will update this page frequently to reflect the businesses and organizations that will be present. Kids 12 and under get in FREE! Please consider attending this event if you are a beekeeper or may have an interest in honey bees. It is bound to be a sweet time!
