MCAAP will partner with MCPS to offer safety training for AHA CPR,AED, First Aid, and Bleed Control awareness.
This is an 8-hour course designed to teach CPR/AED and first aid techniques for use with adults and children. Attendees will learn how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and provide basic first aid (including relieving choking in a responsive or unresponsive victim and applying a tourniquet).
Attendees will receive classroom instruction and will be required to demonstrate practical skills, using a CPR manikin. The instructors will work with attendees who require a physical accommodation for skills demonstration. Upon successful completion of the course, attendees will be emailed an electronic certification E-Card valid for two years.
