Trauma is endemic to the human experience but do we consider this when doing our work? Whether in the community, at your workplace, your church, the mission field, or at home, we must learn how to identify and address trauma. And not just for others, but for ourselves. This is why we marry trauma-informed care to self-care. Self-love is the key to transformational leadership and service. This workshop will provide knowledge, value, and skills to prepare professional counselors, social workers, community members, and nonprofit program leaders to be trauma-informed and prepared to serve individuals, groups and communities.
Facilitated by Rebekka Russell, MSW, and Natalie Thornberry, PhD, LPC. Rebekka is a Professor of social work at Malone University and the Social Woek Field Director. Natalie is a Professor of Counseling & Human Development at Malone University.
**Workshop is hosted in partnership with Malone University, who is sponsoring social work and/or counseling CEUs upon request for a small fee. Contact Annie St. John ([email protected]) to register and RSVP for CEUs.
