Retired Master Sergeant, Dr. Hubert C. Jackson, will share his hour-long presentation entitled "African American Military History: The Lessor Known Contributors." The program brings to light Black units and individuals, without whose contributions efforts of liberty may have failed, and who have assisted America in reaching the heights that it experiences today, but whose names fail to appear in our history books. The talk will cover military service from the American Revolution to the Korean Conflict. A Q&A will follow the presentation.
The Person County Museum of History is honored to sponsor this event organized by Person County native Angie Brown. Special thanks to New Mount Zion Church for providing a venue for this timely talk.
The event is free, but donations are always cheerfuly accepted.
