What do Flow Artists do in the parade? Flow artists juggle, walk, spin, dance, and hoop immediately in front of the Disco Amigos Banner to "Herald the Coming of the Disco!" You will have plenty of space and crowd attention to show off your stuff! It is open to anyone 21 and over who wants to join our funky disco party. During the parade, Flow Artists enjoy: Parader statusPerforming and interacting with the crowdFood and Drinks before and during the paradeAmigos port-o-let accessParade Schedule and Rates We will be performing in the parades listed below: Krewe of Poseidon: Saturday 2/4 6:00 pm - $25.00 + fees Krewe of Cleopatra: Friday 2/10 6:30 pm - $25.00 + fees Krewe of King Arthur: Sunday 2/12 1:00 pm - $25.00 + fees Krewe of Druids: Wednesday 02/15 6:15 pm - $25.00 + fees Krewe of Iris: Saturday 2/18 11:00am - $25.00 + fees Alternate Support Membership As an alternate to purchasing individual tickets to participate in 2023 Mardi Gras Parades, you may purchase a $75.00 one year membership (memberships end each June 30th) to join the Disco Amigos as a support member. As a support member, you will be able to participate as a flow artist in all 2023 Mardi Gras Parades and other parades (ex. Italian American Parade, Pride Parade, etc.) while a member. To join the Disco Amigos, go to www.discoamigosnola.com and select "Join us" to sign up. Mardi Gras Parade Flow Artists Participation Requirements Each participant is required to adhere to Mardi Gras ordinances as well as: Nothing larger than a purse. You can only bring what you can carry. NOPD prohibits dragging, pulling or pushing any other equipment, including but not limited to: rolling carts, shopping carts, ice chests, mechanical bulls, or boom boxes. You are welcome to contribute your beer and liquor to the communal ice chests for all Amigos and participants, and will be loved for it. No Party Favors! Mardi Gras laws do not allow parade marchers to throw or hand-out beads, cups, doubloons, stuffed animals, or any items other than your funky moves. Line-up location and other details will be provided prior to each parade once you have registered. Shuttle for Flow Artists To assist with getting you to the parades on time (and starting the party early), we are offering an optional Disco Shuttle Bus with round trip service from Robert's Bar for all our parades. There is a $15.00 charge for a round trip ticket or $8.00 for a one way ticket per parade. The Disco Shuttle Bus will be waiting near the end of the parade to bring you back to Robert's Bar. Robert's Bar is location at 3125 Calhoun St, New Orleans, LA 70125.
