COME LEARN FLUID AND ABSTRACT ART WITH ME, GARRICK BROWN ART STUDIO AND MIXED MEDIA GIRL AT THE MMG ART STUDIO. (WE WILL BE TEACHING SEPARATE CLASSES.) Location: Address: 1 W Mountain St, Pasadena, CA 91103 Unit 12 Hop aboard this acrylic pouring art train! Listen here we will have a ton of fun, laughter and encouragement as we explore a number of fluid art techniques which include (but not limited to): Flip Cups & Puddle Pours Swipes (Various ways to achieve gorgeous cells) Blooms (Blooms and transfers) This technique will be taught by mouth blowing and hairdryer) Straight, Ring, & Galaxy Pours What can I expect? All supplies necessary will be provided on site (feel free to bring any additional materials that you would like to work with). We will complete a minimum of four paintings together (this includes 1 artist choice) and generally a few extra practice pieces. Each student will leave with a few goodies to take home. Dedicated 1 on 1 help and Q&A session Lunch and snacks will be provided by the host. Fluid art can take several days to completely dry. We can arrange to have your artwork shipped to you once completely dry. You handle the postage and we will ship it out to you. Other information that will be covered: - Basic paint pouring terminology, pillow and base paint, consistency and mixing knowledge, Pouring Medium Options, cell activator, paint recipe cards, and varnishing tips and tricks - My "Easy to Understand" Approach to Color Theory Recommendations from Garrick Class will be action packed all day. If you have never taken a class with me we HAVE FUN; in that I want equip you with the knowledge and tips to do these techniques when you get home. I cover a lot of material in just one day. I am all about getting the best bang for my buck and I want you to feel this way once the class is over. I recommend bringing a notepad to take notes and comfy shoes to walk around in...
